Bronx renovation FAQ

How much does a home renovation cost in the Bronx?

A full bathroom renovation typically runs $15,000 to $60,000, a kitchen renovation $25,000 to $150,000, and a full basement renovation $25,000 to $75,000. Whole-home renovations on a Bronx one- or two-family house start around $120,000. Every estimate we issue is a fixed, line-item written price after an on-site walkthrough — not a per-square-foot guess over the phone.

How long does a Bronx renovation take?

Bathrooms average 3 to 5 weeks on site, kitchens 6 to 10 weeks, and whole-home projects 3 to 6 months including permits and material lead times. We give you a written schedule with milestone dates before demolition starts.

Are you licensed and insured to work in the Bronx?

Yes. We hold an active NYC Department of Consumer and Worker Protection Home Improvement Contractor license and carry general liability plus workers' compensation. Certificates of insurance are issued to you, your co-op board or your managing agent before work begins.

What is covered by your 7-year guarantee?

Our 7-year written workmanship guarantee covers the labor and installation on everything we build — tile, cabinetry, carpentry, drywall, flooring and finishes. Manufacturer warranties on appliances and fixtures run in parallel and we register them for you.

Do you handle permits and DOB filings?

We do. DOB NOW filings, Type 2 alteration permits and inspection scheduling are handled in-house, along with co-op and condo alteration agreement packages. Homeowners never deal with the Department of Buildings directly.

Can I stay in my home during the renovation?

For most single-room projects, yes. We build dust barriers, protect floors and walkways, keep at least one working bathroom where possible, and clean the site daily. Full gut renovations usually require temporary relocation and we tell you that up front.
