What to know before you specify
- Mixing metals is fine — keep it to two finishes and repeat each at least twice
- Unlacquered brass will patina; that's the point, but confirm you want it
- Confirm rough-in valve bodies before walls close — swapping later means re-tiling
- Older buildings may need a pressure-balancing valve to pass inspection
